Welcome to this guide to Jewels in Diablo II: Resurrected (D2:R). This guide will cover Jewels and stones you can insert into sockets in order to give weapons or armor additional properties.
Jewels are available only to players running the Lord of Destruction (LoD) expansion of D2:R. This option is selected by default. Classic players, or those who have opted not to play with the LoD feature set, do not have access to Jewels.
Resurrected Jewels from Diablo II
Jewels are items that can be put into armor with sockets or weapons that provide unique new characteristics to the equipment. They come in three qualities that are Magic, Rare, and unique. There are no set jewels.
Magic Jewels: Roll up to 1 prefix and 1 suffix.
Rare Jewels Roll with 1-4 Prefixes and Suffixes.
Unique Jewels: Have set properties.
Jewels have certain rules and limitations.
Magic and Rare Jewels are rolled up with 1-4 random magic properties depending on the quality. Gems and Runes are fixed in their properties.
Unique Jewels are fixed in their properties.
In Magic and Rare Jewels, the color of the jewel is not related to its properties. As with the properties, the color can be random.
You can have multiple Jewel included in any gear piece. Combining Jewels does not give extra properties like creating Runewords.
Jewels aren’t allowed to be used in armor or weapons unless they meet the minimum character level (cLvl). Inserting an Jewel with a higher level than the socketed gear item increases the cLvl value of the socketed gear to the same level. It won’t lower the cLvl value of a item of gear that is socketed if the item in the socket is higher than the Jewel.
Jewels need to be put into an armor or weapon before you get any benefits.
When jewels are removed from gear with the Horadric Cube, they will be destroyed.
In a gold-plated setting, jewels appear like Gems.
Jewels are also an important component in crafting gear in the Horadric Cube.
Jewels from the farm
A lot of players cultivate Jewels for making. Though Jewels drop randomly throughout the game, one typical strategy for obtaining jewels is to run the Secret Cow Level. It usually has at least two or three Jewel drops. This can be done at any difficulty, because the quality of Jewels doesn’t have any bearing on crafting.
Rerolling Jewels
Sometimes, you’ll find a high-level Jewel that has horrible characteristics. This is usually due to very low roll, inferior quality Prefixes/Suffixes or, in the case of rare, there is not enough. You can roll a second time every Magic or Rare quality Jewels (not Unique) using the following Horadric Cube recipe. The properties you receive will be entirely random, but they might be significant improvements over what you had initially. Jewels and small Charms are the most popular targets of this type of conversion.
Rerolling a Jewel with multiple affixes isn’t a ensure that you’ll get the same number of affixes as you received before. It’s not a guarantee that the Jewel with four affixes will be able to get four when rerolling. It’s a random.
Removal of Jewels in Diablo II: Resurrected
You can eliminate Jewels (and Runes and Gems) from socketed equipment by following the following Horadric Cube recipe. It will permanently damage all your sockets. Be cautious when inserting objects into sockets. It’s not worth the effort to get them out. them.
Potential Jewel Magic Prefixes and Suffixes
Properties can be randomly assigned, but there are only certain magic suffixes and prefixes that Jewels can have. Only magical jewels can be equipped with a single Prefix and a single Suffix. Rare jewels could include as many as four Prefixes or Suffixes.
Yellow Prefixes/Suffixes are available on Magic and Rare Jewels.
Blue Prefixes/Suffixes are only discovered on Magic Jewels.
Magic Jewels will retain the Prefix/Suffix name convention. For example, “Scarlet Jewel of Truth” (+4 minimum damage, 7 percent faster recovery of hit). Rare Jewels will come up with a random name that has nothing to do with the Prefixes or Suffixes like Wraith Heart or Storm Talisman.
Incredibly, Magic Jewels usually have among the highest-level properties, but not as rare as you might think.
The minimum iLvl is the minimum quality level that a Jewel is found that has the Affix property. Jewels may be more expensive than the minimum iLvl and still have that property.
The cLvl, which is 3/4 the amount of the iLvl, represents the minimum requirement to equip the Jewel.
Unique Jewels: Rainbow Facets
Oddly, Unique Jewels are all known by the same title: Rainbow Facet.
There are eight possible Rainbow Facets. One for each major school (Cold Fire Lightning and Poison).
Four Rainbow Facets, one of each magical school Cast a spell whenever you Level-Up.
Four Rainbow Facets, one of each magic school, cast a specific spell each time your character dies.
If you are running Hardcore The Level-Up Rainbow Facet will be more beneficial, unless you want to exact revenge by carrying the same Death Curse.
In contrast to regular Jewels, every Rainbow Facet is a particular shade of Jewel to it.
